ON ANOTHER rain-affected weekend, Chippenham recorded a winning draw against Marshfield in division one of the U13 League.
Top batsman Guy Brothwood was again in great form, registering an unbeaten knock of 119 as his team set 216-4.
Ian Maclean (5-0-23-1) was Marshfield's top bowler, while in reply they made 186-8 with Kallan George (59) top-scoring. Dan O'Sullivan (5-1-31-3) and Andy Edwards (6-0-44-3) both bowled well.
Elsewhere, South Wilts won by eight wickets after bowling Wootton Bassett out for 50, and Biddestone won by two wickets against Trowbridge.
Set a target of 78, Smith's high of 28 helped Biddestone to victory with 79-8.
