A MAN believed to be in his 70s passed away in Chippenham town centre yesterday morning. 

The South West Ambulance Service and Wiltshire Police were called to the "medical incident" near Chippenham Museum at around 9.30am but despite their best efforts, the man died at the scene. 

Witnesses to the incident have since taken to social media to pay tribute to the elderly man and thank the paramedics and a passing taxi driver for their help.
