No to carol singers
WERE a group of carol singers to be singing underneath the lamppost, I might feel inclined to make a donation to their charitable cause, but the mere towing around of a record player at top volume with songs from the hit parade included in the repertoire seems to me to be the height of commercial cynicism in the Christmas season.
