THE same thing is being said by the same people every week about Coopers Meadow in Marlborough.
Will they at some time realise it is a water meadow, meaning it’s soggy with large puddles after rain? Who would want to lie down or have a picnic on grass where dogs are constantly doing their business on a daily basis?
As for the small number of ducks, it’s because they don’t get a chance to nest because of said dogs forever chasing them.
When it was privately owned, there were always horses in the meadow, and it would be lovely to see a whole flock of sheep instead of just five or six.
As for the youths who congregate in the corner, trespassing on people’s property, blocking the water flow, breaking branches off the trees and leaving litter, it’s about time the council did something about that.
