THE fundamental basis for the existence of any ploddery is the protection of the lives and property of everybody.
If the locals have “taken their eye off the ball” as they claim, then it would appear that they have been defrauding the taxpayer by accepting a great deal of money without providing the goods.
Should we now demand that the plods in the local ploddery repay all wages and pension contributions paid to them during the time of their fraudulent behaviour?
