BIDDESTONE defeated South Wilts by two wickets in Division One of the U15 Wiltshire Youth League on Sunday.
Batting first, the Salisbury-based side posted 189-9, with Dominic Webb top-scoring on 53, against the bowling of Jamie Penton (3-21) and Michael Flynn (2-31). Ace Flynn then knocked a match-winning 79 as Biddestone won with 190-8.
Swindon crushed Malmesbury to win by 194 runs in their fixture. Chris Aubrey (61), Tom Law (43), Dean Williamson (65) and Jon Sore (34) set 279-4 to chase but only Oliver Jones (20) made an impact as Malmesbury were all out for 85.
In Division Two, Westbury U15s defeated Chippenham Blades by eight wickets thanks to and unbeaten partnership between Richard Mills (52no) and Mark Brothers (48no).
Blades were all out for 142 after a good knock from Robin Gamble (34).
Calne defeated Trowbridge, who batted first and posted 205, by two wickets. Luke Edwards (40), Stuart Windsor (21), Craig Edwards (37) and Phil Redmond (44) chased down the total for the loss of eight wickets.
Wootton Bassett chalked up a winning draw against Devizes. A superb display from Sam Burdock (111no) and Gareth Evans (40no) set 242-3 for Devizes to chase.
Hutchinson (76no) and Jopling (34) helped them on to 161-9 in reply, as Bassett failed to claim the last wicket despite the efforts of Jack Paish (8-2-14-0), Evans (9-1-35-3) and Pamphilion (9-1-29-3).
Goatacre/Spye PArk were beaten by 183 runs by Warminster despite a good bowling display from Tillier (7.5-0-33-4).
In the U11 North Division, Marshfield sealed a 41-run victory over Biddestone.
Batting first, Rouse (75) and Graishaber 27, against the tight bowling of Aled Evans (4-0-18-2), posted 131-3. Oscar Ryan (31) and Harry Self (13) top scorer in the reply of 90-6, with Pascall (4-0-12-1), Day (3-0-5-1) and T Rouse (4-0-13-1) bowling well.
Wootton Bassett lost by seven wickets to Swindon, who had Abdul Rahman (53no) and Christie Miller (22no) to thank for chasing down the total of 87-6. Joe Paish top-scored for Bassett with 27 against the bowling of Ben Davies (4-1-15-2).
Malmesbury bowled out Shrivenham for 39 runs thanks to Tom Whitehead (4-9), James Gaunt (2-7) and John Mellowes (2-8).
Openers James Gillespie (25no) and Jack Johnson (13no) guided them past the total with ease to win by ten wickets.
Callum Mccormack fired 51 runs as Purton defeated Goatacre/Spye Park by 25 runs. His side reached 94-6, with Lay Duraffe unbeaten on 14, against the bowling of Peter Ellis (4-1-18-1) and William Heard (4-0-21-1).
Ellis top-scored in the reply with 19 as the combined team were bowled out for 69.
In the U11 South Division, South Wilts defeated Devizes by 55 runs. Callum Conway (2-15) restricted the innings to 97-4 but Devizes were all out on 42.
Marlborough were narrow winners against Trowbridge after posting 74-8 thanks to Harrison Painter (14), Ben Bowman (12) and Lee Cowan (12).
Richardson (4-2-5-0), Painter (4-1-15-2) and Joe Arkwright (4-0-7-4) restricted the reply to 63-8.
Harry Brothwood (37) guided Chippenham (86-7) to a three wicket win over Calne (85-6) while Cannings defeated the same team by eight wickets on Monday. Batting first, Calne's Matthew Richards (21) and Ben Little (13no) guided the team to 71-7 against top bowler Balisz (4-1-11-3). Tom Alsop (39no) guided Cannings to 72-2.
