Organisers of the Chippenham Half Marathon have warned that there will be delays and road closures in operation on Sunday while the race is taking place.
The 13-mile route sets off from the sports club at 9.30am and passes through the villages of Stanley, Tythertons Lucas, East Tytherton, Avon, Kellaways and Langley Burrell.
Access for residents will be available but they may be asked to wait until safe to proceed if there are runners on the road.
Bristol Road will be closed to all through traffic, along with Park Lane, New Road, The Causeway and London Road from just before the race starts until the runners have passed through.
Stanley Lane and the route through the villages will be open to traffic at all times.
However, runners will be on this part of the course from about 10am until noon so traffic will be asked to wait until it is safe to proceed.
There is still time to enter the race, as there are less than 400 spaces left, with more than 1,800 runners signed up to take part. Go to www.chippenhamhalfmarathon.co.uk/enter.aspx
