Members of Calne Area Transport are looking for respondents to their first transport survey to help identify achievable solutions to years of traffic and access problems.
Part of the Community Area Partnership, the transport group will present their results and analysis to the area board and Wiltshire Council to identify problems and resolutions.
After years of traffic and access problems for the town and surrounding villages, this is the first time a survey of its type has ever taken place in Calne.
The aim is to get views from as many different road users as possible including drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.
Anne Henshaw, chairman of Calne Area Transport, said: “This is a real opportunity for people to plan the way we all get around in the future.”
The consultation runs until the end of September and surveys can be returned to Calne Library, The Hub (47 High Street), the Leisure Centre, Beversbrook Sports Centre or Quemerford Post Office.
In addition, the two surveys, one for school children and one for adults, are also available online.
Members of the transport group will be out on the streets with the forms and going to schools to speak to parents and children over the next month.
