The blue bridge between Baydon’s Wood and Monkton Park in Chippenham reopened last week.

The well-used footbridge has been closed for maintenance since July 7 and was scheduled to reopen by July 28. The work was finished last Thursday, three weeks later than expected.

A Wiltshire Council spokesman said: “We apologise that the work on this bridge has been delayed. This was due to a slight delay in getting the materials to finish the maintenance.”
