Buisness Paul Shayegan said he still intends to open up SN15 nightclub in Station Hill, Chippenham.

The Persian, who owns BlueRooms nightclub in Bath, had hoped the new club – where Karma used to be – would be up and running last summer, but said he had encountered more bureaucracy than expected.

He has withdrawn his application for a premises licence.

He said this was because the timings were wrong, but he had carried out work on the roof and soundproofing and would be submitting a new licence application.

His plans include playing commercial music downstairs and European house upstairs, with a VIP area, cocktail waitresses and a Moroccan patio area for smokers.
