MORE than 1,700 people have entered the Chippenham Half Marathon, which takes place on September 7.
Harriers chairman Mike Bright said there was still time to enter the race, which last year was voted fifth in the Runners’ World Top 10 half marathons.
Last year’s was completed by just over 1,330 runners.
The male and female winners were Sam Humphrey in one hour and ten minutes and Hilary Mott in one hour, 26 minutes.
The 13-mile route passes through the villages of Stanley, The Tythertons, Avon, Kellaways and Langley Burrell and sets off from the sports club in Bristol Road at 9.30am.
Entries cost £18 for affiliated and £20 for unaffiliated runners.
