A pedestrian hit by a car on the A303 near Stonehenge on Friday evening has died, police have said.
Patrick Sturtivant, 37, from Monmouthshire, South Wales, suffered serious head injuries in the collision with a Mercedes 300 on Friday night.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance paramedics anaesthetised Mr Sturtivant at the scene and he was airlifted to the major trauma centre at Southampton General Hospital at about 8.40pm.
The road was closed near Amesbury following the crash.
