Hundreds of people came out on the weekend’s only dry day for the Potterne Cricket Club’s annual beer festival.
More than 1,000 people attended the event, which is in its second year, held at the club on Sunday afternoon.
Organiser Ed Fruen said the day was a tremendous success with approximately £10,000 raised, which will be reinvested into the club and junior coaching programme.
“We wanted to find a good way to raise larger amounts of money that was more of a project that we could sink our teeth into,” he said.
Along with plenty of beer there was a barbecue, bouncy castle and fun fair for children, along with a chilli eating competition.
The next event being hosted by Potterne Cricket Club will be its annual dinner on September 26.
