In response to Mr Snell’s letter ‘Welcome the Range’, we are members of CPNRA and we are the protesters. Maybe Mr Snell would feel more inclined to protest himself if the proposed Range distribution centre was nearer to his property.
We are not against the Range coming to this area but we believe it is ridiculous to build such a monstrosity so close to a residential area when there is land available nearby at junction 17 on the M4.
If the proposed Range development is allowed to go ahead it will open the flood gates for further development along the A350.
We believe that priority should be given to building on brownfield sites in Chippenham town.
Lidl, Aldi and Asda are all in Melksham and not considered to be out-of-town shopping.
Wake up Chippenham. We know we need employment but let’s not turn Chippenham into a concrete jungle.
