Joanne Purnell, 44, of Davies Drive, Devizes, was conditionally discharged for 12 months after admitting she assaulted a man in the town on July 24.
A charge of stealing a mobile phone from the man was dropped.
Magistrates in Salisbury ordered her to pay prosecution costs of £85.
