Malmesbury youth football team have been left with a giant hole in their defence with just three weeks to go until the start of the season.
The under-16s team, which competes in Division Two of the North Wilts League, is without a goalkeeper.
Manager and coach Steve Chadwick has made an appeal for a goalie from Malmesbury or the nearby villages.
He said: “There must be some young lads out there who can play in goal for us. We are really looking forward to the start of the season. It’s going to be fun and exciting. But we badly need a keeper.”
Anyone interested in playing between the sticks for the side, which trains on Wednesdays and plays on Sundays, can reach Steve on 07584 207793 or email stephen chadwick@btinternet.com
