Thirty firefighters tackled a blaze in Froxfield at the up-market Oka furniture warehouse last night.
Six crews from Wiltshire and Royal Berkshire fire services were called to the warehouse on the A4 at 6.52pm with one crew staying until 9.38am today.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation with 80 per cent of the building being damaged by smoke and 25 per cent by fire.
A spokesperson from OKA Direct Ltd said: “Unfortunately a fire caused significant damage to our flagship store in Froxfield last night.
“We are working with the relevant authorities as they carry out an investigation in to the causes of the fire.
“We are pleased to be able to confirm that no one was hurt or injured during this incident.
“We hope to be back trading as soon as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the emergency services and all of our staff at Froxfield for their quick response and cooperation during this difficult time.
“We look forward to getting Froxfield back on its feet and business returning to normal very soon.”
During the blaze the fire service asked Southern Electric to turn off the power at 20 nearby properties as a safety precaution. The power was reinstated by 10.25pm.
Diversions were in place on the A4 with traffic being directed from Froxfield via Ramsbury.
