Given Wiltshire Council’s unease expressed about solar farms with the latest planning application, I found the picture on page six of the Chippenham edition last week very cynically posed by Duncan Hames and Nick Clegg along with the chief executive of Good Energy.

Are we supposed to think that they have found the answer to all our prayers about energy in this moment? I would suggest that it took some time for Nick Clegg striking the pose of an action man with his sleeves rolled up and Duncan Hames enththusiastically pointing to the formula that will save the planet to be nothing more than stage-managed electioneering that will fool no one.
