Students at The Corsham School were celebrating the school’s second best GCSE results ever this morning.
In total, 64% of students achieved five A*-C grades including English and Maths, compared to a record 68% last year.
Assistant headteacher Marcus Chapman said: “Congratulations to all our year 11 students on a fantastic set of GCSE results and a huge thank you to all of their teachers.”
“This is worthy reward for all of the hard work put in by students, teachers and mentors alike.”
The school were proud to announce that 70% of pupils achieved 5 or more A*-C grades in their GCSEs with 31% gaining at least 3 A or A* passes.
There was also some stunning individual performances at the school with one pupil recording 11 A* grades and another picking up 9 A* and 3 As.
Across the country, there was a slight rise in the A*-C grades but a sharp fall in English grades.
