A leading Wiltshire councillor has said all involved in getting GCSE results today can be proud of their achievements.
Coun Laura Mayes, cabinet member for Children’s Services at Wiltshire Council, said: “I would like to offer my congratulations to everyone who has got the results they wanted.
“Young people have worked extremely hard throughout their studies during this time and they will have received guidance and support from their teachers, parents and carers.
"All involved should be proud of their achievements.”
Carolyn Godfrey, corporate director, said: "There have been some great individual and school performances which is a positive reflection of all the hard work of the students, staff and everyone involved in secondary education in the county.”
