Devizes School saw the number of pupils achieving at least five A* to C grades, not including English and maths, increase by two per cent to 72 per cent.
Headteacher Malcolm Irons said that exact figures for those achieving at least five A* to C grades, including English and maths, were not available yet but were about the same as last year's 50 per cent.
"Most students beat their target grades and scored record average total points," he said.
