Teenager Oliver Bird has raised more than £1,000 for charity by completing the Three Peaks Challenge.
Oliver, of Lady Wood, Market Lavington, climbed Snowden in Wales, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Ben Nevis in Scotland to raise money for his forthcoming trip to Ecuador next year with Camps International and the charity Wooden Spoon, which helps children who are socially, mentally or physically disadvantaged.
The 16-year-old was accompanied by parents, Martyn, who had done it before, and Jackie and completed it in about 34 hours.
He said: “I have to say a big thanks to my parents as I wouldn’t have been able to have done it without them.”
