Commonwealth silver medallist Tom Reed returned to his old school on Friday to help inspire the next generation of young athletes.
Mr Reed was at CampXtra at Devizes School as a guest of Bag4Sport Foundation as he presented a cheque for £500 towards activities on behalf of the charity. He said:“I love working as a mentor to young people and this was a great opportunity to do that.”
Andy Trusler, director of Bag4Sport Foundation, said: “This is the third year we have sponsored Camp Xtra and I was really pleased that Tom, fresh from winning his silver medal in Glasgow, could attend.”
Camp Xtra co-ordinator Victoria Richardson said: “This year Camp Xtra has continued to build on the legacy of London 2012.”
New activities including extreme sports and photography were added this year.
