Police are appealing for information after a washing machine was stolen from a property in Marlborough.
The washing machine was taken during the early evening of Wednesday, August 13, from a house driveway in Barrow Close.
The owners had put it outside to repair the machine later. It was out of sight from the road so therefore would not have appeared to be left for scrap.
It is believed that two men and a woman in her 20s pulled up in a white Transit-type van and when the owner went out to look, she realised the washing machine was gone.
PCSO Mark Braithwaite said: "The washing machine was positioned so that it would not have easily been spotted from the road.
"It would appear that this was an opportunist theft and the owners are obviously upset.
"The machine was worth £200 and I would like to appeal to anyone who has information to contact me. "
If you have information that may assist police in relation to this theft please call 101 and ask to speak to PCSO Mark Braithwaite (collar number 6031). Or alternatively if you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
