Business manager Susan Connolly took a brave leap for Pewsey when she jumped 15,000ft out of a plane.
The 32-year-old business development manager from the Connolly Spar Group completed the charity skydive to raise money for community groups in the village.
She was strapped to an instructor from GoSkydive for the jump over Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury.
She said: “It was over too quickly, it was absolutely amazing – as soon as I reached the ground I wanted to go up and do it again.
“I wanted to do something different so that people would sponsor me and I thought ‘I’ll jump out of a plane’.”
Miss Connolly was cheered on by a group of around 20 supporters made up of friends, family and colleagues.
So far she has raised £1,000 to be split between groups including Pewsey Carnival children’s party, Pewsey women’s netball team and Oare Primary school.
Miss Connolly decided on the skydive when she learned Pewsey Carnival’s children’s party would have to be cancelled this year due to a lack of funding, and she is hoping to raise at least £3,000.
She said: “We own a Spar shop in the community and we want to give back to our customers and show that we are there for them by supporting things that they do.
“Our motto at our Pewsey store is ‘Proudly Local, Proudly Pewsey’ and we aim to be at the heart of the community and try to help however and wherever we can, and sometimes that includes jumping out of an aeroplane.”
Donations can be made at Spar in Pewsey.
