ORGANISERS finalising the programme this year’s Emergency Services Show are confident it will be the biggest and best ever.
Next month’s show, held at Hullavington Airfield, near Chippenham, will have displays by the Wiltshire Police dog section, new and vintage emergency vehicles, Wilts-hire Air Ambulance and the Great Western Air Ambu-lance, a fun fair, fire engine and police car rides, and a chance to chat with police, firefighters and paramedics.
The show – on September 7 from 10am to 4pm – is put on by a committee of volunteers drawn from Wiltshire Police, Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, South Western Ambulance Service and the Highways Agency.
Chairman Chris Harvey said: “This is the ninth show and we are confident that this year’s event will be bigger and better than ever before.
“There’s still time to get involved, either as an exhibitor or a trader. Just visit our website and register.
“With some 10,000 visitors in 2013, this is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to support a truly local show.”
Proceeds go to charities that support the work of the emergency services, with 26 organisations sharing donations totalling £26,000 in 2013.
Tickets are available online, at £6 for adults and £3 for children under 16. Under threes get in free.
They can be bought until August 31, to ensure fast track entry, but some tickets will be available on the day.
