TWO Devizes men rode 210 miles to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.
Andy Harper, director and group accountant at Renelec, and Ben Gale, based in the Army at Middle Wallop, were among 70 who completed the ride from St Austell to Bristol, ending at Charlton Farm Children’s Hospice.
Mr Harper’s wife, Jo, said: “Andy and Ben are keen cyclists and train with Devizes Town Cycling Club and in recent months have done various training rides, including sportives in Bournemouth, Reading and Isle of Wight.
“They found the ride incredibly rewarding and visiting the hospice with the children waving, was extremely emotional.”
So far they have raised £3,800. Donations can be made at http://uk.virgin moneygiving.com/team/ benandandydtcc
