AN exhibition exploring architecture ranging from South African slums to the beauty of Venice and sophistication of San Francisco is being staged at the Wine Street Gallery, Devizes.

There are three paintings by North Staffordshire-born Graham Sproston, based in Wedhampton, who has taught groups locally and abroad for the past 30 years.

The industrial landscape of his early years has remained at the heart of his work.

Other artists featured include Josephine Sumner, of Devizes; Maxine Foster, of Winsley; Bob Rudd of Chippenham; John Kitchen of Nottingham; Angie Rooke, of Somerset; and Tin Tin Sann from London.

Ceramicists taking part are Rowan Whimster of Marl-borough; Ed Duckworth, of Mere; and Paul Philip of London.

Wiltshire sculptors involved are Eric Stanford of Devizes and Keith Newstead of Bradford on Avon.

The Buildings in a Landscape exhibition is launched on Saturday, from noon to 5pm. Entry is free.

The gallery is then open on Sundays and Mondays, from 11am to 4pm, and on other days by appointment.

It is at Unit 10, White Horse Business Centre, Hopton Industrial Estate.
