SIX young people joined a week-long art course near Devizes and gained a qualification.
They worked towards the Bronze Arts Award at Fired Thoughts, a small independent arts studio at the Old Potato Yard, Lydeway.
They learned about working in clay and ceramics, then had to share an arts skill with the group and give a presentation.
Geraldine Francis, who runs Fired Thoughts with Sue Whelan, said: “The great thing about the Arts Award is it is inclusive and is open to all young people up to the age of 25. I was helped by Wiltshire Council to train as an as Arts Award adviser, so it is good to know that young people are benefitting.”
She hopes for funding to hold a course for the Silver Arts Award.
