Artist Yael Rose has dedicated a series of colourful, experimental works to peace in Gaza and Syria.
Her show The Sixth Dimension, which can be seen at Malmesbury Town Hall until Thursday, August 21, is her first in the UK since she was a student at Oxford in the 1960s. Ms Rose has spent most of her life abroad, living in India and more recently in Spain where she has exhibited widely.
Three years ago she moved Malmesbury after returning to the UK and is exhibiting 22 of her paintings there.
Ms Rose, who began painting when she was nine years old, said: “I use various media – mostly oils, spray paint and pastels. The paintings incorporate all sorts of styles.
“Because of what’s happening I have dedicated the exhibition to peace and unity in Gaza and Syria.”
