Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after the Best One convenience store in London Road, Chippenham, was broken into in the early hours of Saturday.

Offenders forced their way into the shop and tried to get into the cashpoint machine inside.

It is believed that they were disturbed when the alarm went off.

The offenders then fled, empty handed.

Officers are appealing anyone who may have seen a person or people acting suspiciously in the London Road area of Chippenham in the early hours of Saturday morning, or if they saw any vehicles in close proximity to the shop.
