A Calne man who was found lying unconscious in a road later died in hospital.
The 45-year-old man was named locally as Gavin Valente, a former student of St John’s School in Marlborough.
Paramedics in Mill Street found him in the early hours of Sunday, August 3, after receiving a call from a passer-by at 1am.
The ambulance service said a man was found lying in the road not moving. He was breathing but unconscious.
He was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon, where he later died.
Police said the death was being not being treated as suspicious and a report was being prepared for the coroner.
