A man who is accused of stealing a car from a customer at a tea shop has been released on bail by a judge.
Steven O'Brien, 49, is also said to have left the establishment without paying for his cuppa.
O'Brien is accused of the theft of a set of car keys, taking a vehicle without consent and leaving without paying.
He is said to have taken the keys from a customer at the Town Hall Tea Rooms in Royal Wootton Bassett on Friday, February 28, where he also allegedly failed to settle his bill.
It is alleged that he then used the keys to drive off in a Volkswagen Toran on the same day.
No charges were formally put to O'Brien, of Holinshed Place, Grange Park, and he did not enter any pleas during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
Judge Douglas Field adjourned the case to Friday, October 24, and released him on bail until then.
