A group of cyclists from Burbage have shown the importance of pedal power by raising £1,100 for a health centre in South Sudan.
The Suddene Saddlers took part in the recent Savernake Sizzler cycle event on July 27 which saw them cycling through Savernake Forest.
On the day the team of eight tackled between 32 and 56 miles and collected sponsorship for their efforts.
All of the sponsorship will go towards the £10,950 cost of constructing a new health centre in the Kiri district of South Sudan, which is being undertaken through the Building Bridges initiative of All Saints’ Church in Burbage.
