Wiltshire Air Ambulance has benefitted from the proceeds of a clay shoot organised by Bishops Cannings Cricket Club.
The clay shoot, at Wellington Barn, Calstone, in May raised almost £35,000 for various charities – the biggest amount in the four years it has been held.
The club handed over a cheque to the air ambulance of £7,000 and this brings the total raised for the life-saving charity to more than £40,000 in the past 14 years.
Club chairman Ed Davies said: “Wiltshire Air Ambulance has been our main beneficiary. It is a hugely worthwhile cause and everybody knows someone that the air ambulance has helped.
“To have that facility in our community is unparalleled.”
