BEWLEY Kevin A well known member of the Calne community sadly passed away on Thursday 27th May. He was a man of integrity with a great sense of humor. Having studied and achieved a Degree in the Arts, Kevin spent time overseas working as a Graphic Designer, He was also a member of the Design team at Reader's Digest, as well as contributing on Graphic design projects in Saudi Arabia. More recently Kevin was able to contribute to local organisations and consult on housing accessibility for the disabled. Many will know him zipping about the town centre on his mobility scooter. Kevin had a passion for knowledge and learning and a keen eye for creative designs. Many projects to upcycle a lamp or design a unique piece of furniture took place in the kitchen late in the evening as he would repurpose a variety of objects long before 'upcycling and recycling' became mainstream and popular! He was also a published author, having co-written two books 'View from Harris Court' and 'We love Calne'. Kevin was the son of Wilf and Maureen Bewley, and brother to Elaine. He was also Uncle to Siobhan and Daniella, Great Uncle to Connor and a good friend to many including Shiela of BGS HealthCare who provided significant support and company in the years leading up to his passing. Kevin was a member of St Edmunds Parish, His Funeral will be held at St Edmunds Church, Oxford Road Calne on Thursday 1st July at 10am. There will then be a wake at the Lansdowne, Strand from 11:30am.
