HOCKING Michael Dearly loved husband to Sarah, father to Charlotte and Tom, brother to Val, Phil and Pete passed away Thursday 29th August 2019 following his brave battle with cancer. Service to be held at St James Church, North Newnton on Wednesday 11th September at 1.30pm. Family flowers only. James, Thank you so much for taking time to write this message. It is nice to hear about "Young Michael". We would love a copy of this photograph and any others you might have if you're able to post them to us (it appears very small here online - we're unable to save it). Sarah, thank you for the note you sent me in the post letting me know of Michael's death. As you say, we were friends at uni (or polytechnic as it was then) back in late 70s and we knew him as 'young Michael' as he was older than the rest of us in the shared house! I've only ever known you through Christmas cards and sadly I am unable to get to the funeral on Wednesday due to work commitments. My condolences to you and Charlotte and Tom at this sad time. I've attached a picture from August 1978 when the group of us went to Majorca after we'd graduated. Kind regards, James Young.
