THE August Bank Holiday weekend sees the highly anticipated return of the Fulltone Music Festival to The Green, Devizes.
The family-friendly music festival, now in its third year, promises to be even bigger and better than ever, with 2 full days of back-to-back music, performed by the Fulltone Orchestra, a spectacular 65-piece orchestra conducted by Anthony Brown.
Special guest artists performing on stage include the formidable voice of Britain’s Got Talent star Jonathan Antoine, BBC Radio presenter James Threlfall, Trumpeter and Tik-Tok sensation Oli Parker, local musicians Kirsty Clinch and Pete Lamb & The Heartbeats.
The packed programme consists of six orchestral concerts providing the ultimate variety of live music from popular classics, opera and big band to movie themes and huge 90’s hits.
The grand finale on Sunday evening will see The Green at Devizes transformed into its very own Studio 54, with the orchestra and singers performing a full two-hour set of 70s inspired disco classics. Dress to impress; dancing shoes are highly recommended!
Jonathan Antoine said: “It's wonderful to be performing with such a talented orchestra and to part of this experience. I'm really excited about it!"
Food and drink will be available from local vendors, and t-shirts will be on sale and raising funds for Dorothy House.
Anthony Brown, The Fulltone Orchestra’s Musical Director and Conductor, said: “I’ve been looking forward to this year’s festival from the moment I put my baton down last year, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share what we do with so many people.
"There’s something here for everyone, the line-up we’ve got is amazing, so no matter what your musical tastes are, I guarantee that even those who have never experienced orchestral music before, will leave wanting more!”
The Fulltone Music Festival 2022 marks the end of another stellar season for the Fulltone Orchestra who, despite the challenges the pandemic has presented to the music sector, have gone from strength to strength by performing a run of sell-out concerts across the Southwest at prestigious venues including Bath Abbey and Marlborough College.
The orchestra was established in 2017 and has already proved a force to be reckoned with on the Southwest music scene due to their resounding success in making live orchestral music relevant, accessible and popular.
