NEURIN Jones’ Calne Town side were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with Hengrove Athletic after being pegged back in the last 10 minutes.
Having beaten their Toolstation Western Football League First Division opponents 1-0 just four days prior at Norton Lane, Calne were looking to make it six points.
The Lilywhites broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when a corner fell to Rory Worthington whose shot through the crowd nestled in the back of the net.
It took just three minutes after the break for Matt Durbin to put the visitors back level but parity lasted for just five minutes – Kris Beasley heading home a cross from Jake Brand to restore Calne’s lead.
However, Calne, who finished the game with 10 men after Dan Lardner received his marching orders for a second bookable offence, were unable to hang on.
Calne were unhappy with the awarding of a corner from the referee’s assistant and Luke Crewe was on hand to poke home.
