Robbie Williams and Take That singer/songwriter Gary Barlow are recording together at Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios in Box this week.
A studio insider confirmed the pair have been in the studio working on new material.
This week Mr Williams told the Radio Times that he has been writing songs with Mr Barlow and that he had an exciting album project lined up for release later this year.
Real World Studios manager Eleanor Household said that she cannot confirm or deny any of the rumours as Real World Studios are private recording studios.
Mr Williams sold his £7 million mansion at Compton Bassett, near Calne, before Christmas, complaining the weather was too cold in Wiltshire.
His close friend Jonathan Wilkes lives near Wootton Bassett.
Box youth club, the Green Room, helper Vicki Shepherd, 32, of Katherine Park, Corsham, said: “I think this is the most amazing news ever. I am a huge Take That fan. I think they are wonderful.
“It’s great news they could be getting back together as I think Robbie is brilliant.
“It would be good if they could come and say hello to our youth group.”
