A woman was left stranded at a busy junction after a 4x4 driver stole the keys from her car and drove off.
The woman had been driving her blue Volvo V50 from Box towards Fiveways, on the A365 in Wiltshire, at around 4pm on March 3.
But when she reached the traffic lights at the junction, a man in a white 4x4 type vehicle, described by police as “driving in an erratic manner behind the woman”, pulled his car in front of hers.
He proceeded to get out of his vehicle and approach the woman in the Volvo.
He then removed her keys from the ignition, returned to his vehicle with them, and drove off in the direction of Bradford on Avon, leaving her stranded at the busy junction.
Police have since been investigating and are now appealing for witnesses or those with dash cam footage to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We have been obtaining any available CCTV footage from the area and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone who may have dash cam footage which could assist our investigation to identify the driver involved.
“If you can help, call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230023554.
