Fire crews called to vehicle fire on M4
CREWS from Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett were mobilised a vehicle on fire on the M4 motorway yesterday evening.
The incident happened at around 6.40pm on the M4 near Chippenham.
Police called Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Control after a member of the public reported a car on fire to them.
Crews from Swindon and Royal Wootton Bassett were mobilised to the scene.
On arrival it was confirmed the car had experienced a mechanical fire but no action was required by the crews.
