CINEMA plans have been given the green light by Marlborough Town Council planning committee. Developers hope to turn a disused United Reformed Chapel on The Parade into a 108 seat cinema.
Cllr Nick Fogg said: "A couple of neighbours originally had concerns about noise and privacy but the developer has bent over backwards to ensure sound proofing and meet their concerns. The last thing they want is for it to be left derelict, and now they approve of the plans. People have wanted this for a long time. We welcome it as a great feature to the town." The application will now be considered by Wiltshire Council.
