FIREFIGHTERS sped to the scene of a burning Land Rover on the M4 yesterday.
Crews from Swindon and Westlea were called just before 5pm to the vehicle on the hard shoulder of the motorway west bound between junction 16 for Swindon West/Marlborough and 17 (Chippenham/Cirencester).
Journalist Josie Hannett was travelling from Bristol to Kent after seeing a friend at university in Bristol as a passenger when she caught the dramatic moment on her iPhone just after 5pm, when the Land Rover was engulfed in flames.
The fire crews arrived shortly afterwards to extinguish the blaze.
It is not thought that any of the occupants of the Land Rover were hurt.
