Police from Calne were called to the scene
A CAR fire caused Derry Hill, near Calne, to be closed yesterday.
Calne police received a call at 7.45pm after reports of a vehicle on fire at the top of the hill.
The police attended to deal with traffic while the fire service tackled the burning silver Mercedes.
A road closure was put in place at the Lysley Arms. The fire crews and police had the road cleared by 9.40pm.
Nobody was injured.
