Around 300 people visited an exhibition set up to showcase the work of sixth form students at John Bentley School in Calne last week.
The three-day exhibition, at the Calne Heritage Centre, included traditional paintings, textiles, and mixed media as well as digital and dark room photography.
It combined the work of photography and art A-level students who have been working on personal projects inspired by a range of different themes.
Several of these students will be going on to study art elsewhere – Bryony Greenaway is off to Farnham College, Livvey Moss will study foundation art at Trowbridge College, and Jordan McCarthey will study primary education with art.
Art teacher Emma Bennett said the annual exhibition had become very popular, and around 100 people visited for the preview evening on Friday.
She said: “It’s the conclusion to two years of exploring and investigating.
“The joy of the exhibition is that it gives the people of Calne a chance to see how talented our students are and that’s what we want to do, to make sure that we’re fitting in with the community.”
